Close call: Delta Airlines flight makes ‘aggressive maneuver’ mid-air to avoid B-52 bomber; ‘not a fun day at work’ says pilot

A Delta regional jet, SkyWest flight 3788, narrowly avoided a mid-air collision with a B-52 bomber near Minot, North Dakota, on July 18. The pilot took evasive action after spotting the bomber, citing a lack of prior warning from air traffic control despite the nearby Minot Air Force Base having radar capabilities.
