In Budaun, a special Pocso court convicted Mahendra Kumar of raping a 5-year-old girl, sentencing him to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment. The victim identified Kumar by his moustache, and her testimony, along with supporting evidence, proved crucial in the conviction. The crime occurred on February 27, 2023, when Kumar assaulted the girl while her mother collected fodder nearby.
