Kuwait’s new airport rule: Declare gold and cash over KWD 3,000 or face penalties
Posted
Kuwait’s General Administration of Customs now requires travelers to declare gold, cash, and valuables exceeding KWD 3,000 (around $9,800) at the airport. The rule aims to improve transparency, prevent smuggling, and speed up customs checks. Failure to declare may lead to confiscation and penalties. Travelers should carry proper documentation and declare all applicable items.
