In a significant setback for Congress, Udit Narayan Pradhan, the Odisha NSUI president, was arrested for allegedly raping a 19-year-old student in Bhubaneswar. The survivor filed a police complaint alleging that Pradhan drugged and sexually assaulted her in a hotel in March, prompting his immediate suspension by NSUI.
