Will enforce CAA 2014 cut-off for citizenship, says Tripura CM
Posted
Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has declared the strict implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) with a cut-off date of December 31, 2014, for immigrants seeking Indian citizenship. This stance has widened the gap with coalition partner Tipra Motha, which advocates for recognizing migrants entering after the 1971 Bangladesh war as illegal.
