How the Israel-Gaza war triggered historic federal action against Columbia University
Posted
Columbia University has agreed to a $220 million settlement with the US government following a federal investigation into its handling of antisemitism during protests related to the Israel-Gaza conflict. The university faced a freeze on over $400 million in federal funding and has now committed to extensive reforms. These include disciplinary policy changes, revised DEI practices, curriculum reviews, and cooperation with authorities on international student conduct. More than 70 students face disciplinary actions under the new terms.
