Centre suggests 'country of origin' filter on e-commerce sites
Posted
The consumer affairs department has proposed that e-commerce companies add a "country of origin" filter to their websites and apps, enabling consumers to quickly select products based on their preferred country. While industry players generally agreed on the feasibility, concerns were raised about potential algorithm changes, compliance burdens for inventory-holding companies, and space constraints on mobile devices.
