Goyal: No compromises, only benefits in trade deal with UK
Posted
Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal announced that India secured significant advantages in the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) with the UK, safeguarding sensitive sectors like rice, sugar, and dairy. The agreement lowers duties on automobiles and scotch while protecting domestic industries and intellectual property rights. CETA also ensures India receives recognition for Geographical Indication (GI) products like Kolhapuri chappals.
