Posted
Indian Railways has successfully tested the Direct Drive Electronic Interlocking (DDEI) system at three stations, aiming to significantly improve rail safety. This new system minimizes human intervention by directly controlling track switches and signals electronically. DDEI reduces the need for relays and copper cables, lowering maintenance costs and enhancing protection against lightning, marking a major technological advancement.
