AGR dues demand: DoT issues Rs 7,827 crore notice to Tata Communications, firm says licences not covered under SC order

Tata Communications has received a demand notice of Rs 7,827.55 crore from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) for adjusted gross revenue (AGR) dues from FY 2005-06 to FY 2023-24. The company is contesting the dues, asserting that its licenses differ from the Unified Access Service Licence (UASL) covered in a previous Supreme Court ruling.
