40 UAE domestic worker agencies busted for 140+ violations: Why using the wrong agency could cost you

The UAE’s Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation penalized 40 domestic worker recruitment offices for over 140 Labour Law violations in early 2025, mainly for failing to refund fees and non-compliance with regulations. Authorities also shut down 77 illegal social media accounts promoting unlicensed services, urging families to use only licensed agencies to ensure legal protection and worker safety.
