French PM says US-EU trade deal a 'dark day' for Europe
نشر بتاريخ
Following the EU and US trade agreement, France is strongly advocating for tariff retaliation, warning of political weakening if Europe doesn't respond. PM Bayrou criticized the deal's 15% tariffs on European imports, while Minister Haddad suggested countermeasures like taxing US digital services. Despite France's stance, other European leaders, including those from Germany and Italy, welcomed the agreement, averting a potential trade war.
