Google execs appear before ED in online betting case

Google officials have presented documents to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) concerning a money laundering investigation linked to betting websites and online shopping scams. Meta, also implicated, is yet to comply with the summons. The ED is scrutinizing both platforms for hosting advertisements promoting illicit betting sites and fraudulent online shopping schemes, which have allegedly defrauded Indian citizens of substantial sums.
