Tamil Nadu releases 2025–26 school exam and holiday schedule; quarterly exams to begin on September 18

The Tamil Nadu School Education Department has released the exam and holiday schedule for the 2025–2026 academic year for government schools. Quarterly exams for Classes 1 to 12 will be held from September 18 to 26, followed by holidays from September 27 to October 5. Half-yearly exams are scheduled from December 15 to 23, with holidays starting on December 24 and schools reopening on January 5, 2026. The public exam timetable will be announced in October.
