IIT Ropar's 'Pookie professor' celebrates graduates with Gen Z vibes on convocation day
Posted
At the 14th convocation of IIT Ropar, Director Prof Rajeev Ahuja surprised attendees by joining graduates in celebratory antics, donning sunglasses, dabbing, and performing the Korean finger heart. Inspired by his experience at Uppsala University, Ahuja embraced a light-hearted approach to mark the graduation of 720 students. While BTech students led the fun, master's and PhD graduates maintained a formal tone. The unique celebration went viral, earning Ahuja the nickname "pookie professor".
