Khalid Jamil, a former Indian midfielder with 40 international caps, has been appointed as the Indian men’s football team's head coach. Jamil, bringing a wealth of experience from coaching various clubs including Jamshedpur FC, where he reached the Super Cup semi-final in 2024, is the first Indian to manage the national team since Savio Medeira in 2012.
