Postado
Kuwait has commenced its shrimp fishing season on August 1st, authorizing 297 licensed vessels to harvest until early 2026. This follows a seven-month closed season designed to protect shrimp stocks, primarily Penaeus semisulcatus and Metapenaeus affinis. Authorities are strictly enforcing regulations, including seizing illegal trawlers, to ensure sustainable fisheries and compliance with Resolution No. 1094/2024.
