Vijay Deverakonda appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Hyderabad regarding the promotion of illegal online betting apps, stemming from an alleged association dating back to 2016. He asserted his cooperation, clarifying he hadn't taken payment and discontinued the promotion on moral grounds. This follows a wider crackdown involving multiple celebrities accused of promoting gambling apps violating the Public Gambling Act.
