CJI bars senior advocates from mentioning cases for listing

Chief Justice of India, B R Gavai, announced a new rule barring designated senior advocates from mentioning cases for urgent hearings, starting Monday. This decision aims to provide young lawyers with opportunities to gain experience and confidence in persuading judges. Following this announcement, other Supreme Court judges have also informally decided to adopt this practice.
