McMahon orders federal audit of universities’ admissions data to root out racial bias
Posted
US Secretary of Education Linda McMahon has directed the National Center for Education Statistics to gather detailed admissions data from universities, including race, sex, test scores, and GPAs, to detect and prevent racial bias. The move follows the Supreme Court’s SFFA v. Harvard ruling and marks a major step toward nationwide transparency and merit-based admissions.
