Pappu Singh Chauhan, a Samajwadi Party leader, was expelled for engaging in "anti-party" activities following an FIR against him and others for attempting to vandalize a 200-year-old mausoleum in Fatehpur. Hindu right-wing members, claiming the site as a temple, created a disturbance.
