Four chip plants entailing Rs 4.6k crore investment in AP, Odisha, Punjab get govt nod

The Union Cabinet has greenlit four semiconductor projects, backed by an investment of Rs 4,594 crore, to boost India's self-reliance in the semiconductor sector. These projects, located in Odisha, Punjab, and Andhra Pradesh, are part of the India Semiconductor Mission. Intel-backed 3D Glass semiconductor unit in Odisha, supported by Lockheed Martin, is also approved.
