PM Modi likely to visit New York: UNGA address on cards; trip amid Trump tariff row

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to meet US President Donald Trump in New York during the UN General Assembly next month. This occurs amidst rising tensions as Washington increased tariffs on New Delhi for purchasing Russian crude oil. Trump will also meet with Vladimir Putin in Alaska on August 15 to discuss ending the war in Ukraine.
