Vincent Keymer surged ahead in the Chennai Grand Masters, extending his lead to 1.5 points after a decisive victory over Awonder Liang. M Karthikeyan's win against Vidit Gujrathi kept Indian hopes alive, while Arjun Erigaisi's draw against Anish Giri significantly hampered his chances.
