Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the role of sport in India's development. He spoke from Red Fort during Independence Day address. The National Sports Policy 2025 aims to strengthen the sports ecosystem. It focuses on grassroots development up to to the Olympics. The policy includes ethical practices and fair play. Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya ensured passage of the National Sports Governance Bill.
