Saudi Arabia travel alert: Travelers carrying prescription drugs must declare and get online permit

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has launched a digital process for travelers carrying controlled drugs, including narcotics and psychotropic substances. Through the Controlled Drug System (CDS), travelers can now apply for clearance permits online, upload medical documents, and track their application status. The move aims to support patients while ensuring regulatory compliance and preventing misuse.
