Venezuela has lost all its glaciers. The last surviving ice mass is now too small to be a glacier. This is a global wake-up call about climate change. The Humboldt Glacier, named after Alexander von Humboldt, is gone. Rising temperatures melted the ice. This threatens freshwater supplies and irrigation. The UN declared 2025 as the International Year of Glacier Preservation.
