Bangladeshi autodriver Babu Hussain Sheikh (40) arrested by Mumbai Police, for using a banned messaging app to communicate with his family in Bangladesh. During the investigation, police found that Shaikh, his wife, their three children and his mother entered India illegally through the Kolkata border and travelled to Mumbai. “Shaikh's family had returned to Bangladesh from the same route in July 2023,” said a police officer of the Bandra police station. In June, the Mumbai Crime Branch had arrested two women, Rehana Khatoon Mandal (29) and Julekha Khatoon Islam (20), from a flat in Dahisar (East) where they had been residing since February.
