Modi Govt likely to create a new secretary level position of Chief Investigation Officer (CIO) in a historical strike against corruption.

CIO will serve as the head of ED & CBI and ED & CBI will report to CIO.

Outgoing ED chief, Sanjay Kumar Mishra, could be appointed as the first CIO.
