Many sycophantic historians have praised the greatness of Akbar.

But very few historians have described Akbar's misdeeds.

With his dirty intentions, Akbar used to organize a fair of Nauroz in Delhi every year in which entry of men was prohibited. Akbar used to go to this fair in the guise of a woman and the woman who bewitched him was taken by the maids to Akbar by deceit.

One day, Maharana Pratap's niece, younger brother Maharaj Shaktisingh's daughter, came to see the decorations of the fair. Her name was Baisa Kirandevi, who was married to Prithviraj ji of Bikaner.

Seeing the beauty of Baisa Kirandevi, Akbar could not control himself and without thinking, he fraudulently called her to Janana Palace through the help of maids.

As soon as Akbar tried to touch Baisa Kirandevi, Kirandevi took out a dagger from her waist and threw Akbar down, placing her foot on his chest and placed the dagger on his neck and said

Neech... Naradham, you don't know that I am the niece of that Maharana Pratap whose name gives you sleepless nights.
Tell me, what is your last wish???

Akbar's blood dried up. Never would have thought that Emperor Akbar would be at the feet of a Rajput Baisa today. Akbar said, I made a mistake in recognizing you, please forgive me Devi.

So Kiran Devi said that after today, Nouroz fair will not be held in Delhi and will not harass any woman.

Akbar folded his hands and said that after today no fair would ever be held. After that day no fair would ever be held.

This incident has been described in Sagat Raso written by Girdhar Asiya on page number 632. This incident has also been described through a couplet in a painting in Bikaner Museum -

किरण सिंहणी सी चढी उर पर खींच कटार,
भीख मांगता प्राण की अकबर हाथ पसार॥

धन्य है किरण बाईसा उनकी वीरता को नमन् 🙏
