Anil Kapoor, captivated by Madhuri Dixit's 'Ek Do Teen' in Tezaab, convinced Javed Akhtar to create a male version, despite initial resistance from the composer. This persistence led to the inclusion of the song, sung by Amit Kumar, which was filmed at Shah Rukh Khan's residence, Mannat, used as Anupam Kher's house in the film.
