Mohammad Azharuddin praised Syed Kirmani as the world's best wicketkeeper, highlighting his skills against spin and contribution to India's 1983 World Cup victory, at the launch of Kirmani's autobiography. Azharuddin also commended Mohammad Siraj for his outstanding performance in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy against England, where he emerged as the leading wicket-taker.
