Karnataka: Honeytrap gang busted in Bengaluru, Nazma, Khalil and Ashiq arrested by police. The gang pre-plans to loot victims luring them for sex. Speaking to reporters at Hassan after a bail hearing, he al- leged, "They offered me Rs 100 crore. Rs 5 crore was sent as ad- vance to Room No 110 of Bowring Club in Bengaluru." Shivakumar, he alleged, wanted to paint PM Narendra Modi in a "bad light" and "spoil Kumaraswamy's reputation". Devaraje Gowda said that he refused the offer. "Since I did not join hands with them, they framed me in an atrocity case first, followed by a sexual harassment case and a rape case," he alleged. He said that he had the evi- dence to back his claims, adding that "the government would fall" once he came out of jail. Devaraje Gowda was re- manded in judicial custody till May 24 by a court in Hassan Revanna bail plea A special court in Bengaluru has reserved its order till Monday on a bail application moved by JD(S) MLA HD Revanna in con- nection with a sexual harassment case filed at Holenarsipur police station, Hassan district. The SIT opposed the bail plea of Revanna. The special court had granted interim relief from arrest to Revanna Thursday, after the SIT demanded either police custody or judicial custody. Revanna's counsel had objected to the de- mand by SIT, citing that no non- bailable sections were invoked against him. The SIT argued that he could influence the probe.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has identified the suspect in Bengaluru's Rameshwaram Cafe blast case. The suspect was identified as Mussavir Hussain Shazib. One of Shazib's accomplices was also identified by the anti-terror agency, as Abdul Mateen Taha, also a native of Thirthahalli. Taha was wanted for the murder of Tamil Nadu police inspector, K Wilson, and stayed with the main suspect in Chennai.

A key suspect in the Bengaluru Rameshwaram Cafe blast case has been taken into custody by the NIA. The suspect, identified as Shabbir, was nabbed from Bellary district in Karnataka. Interrogation of the suspect is currently underway. Forensic experts said hair samples found in the cap were used to obtain the DNA of the suspect. Investigators found the cap at a location around three km from The Rameshwaram Cafe blast site in Bengaluru.

In 2016, a 9 year old boy named Vivek from Chandigarh went missing while on his way to school in. His parents filed an FIR but Vivek was never found. Almost 7 years later, in 2023, while children in a madrassa in Muzaffarnagar, UP, were being registered for Aadhaar, one boy named Muhammad Umar showed up as already registered. The authorities tracked down his background and discovered that Muhammad was none other than Vivek. He had been kidnapped, circumcised and converted to Islam. The 17 year old was reunited with his parents. When the police raided the madrassa, the maulvi and his team had fled. The authorities came to know of a similar madrassa in Bengaluru, where 200 unidentified children were lodged. When NCPCR chief Prinyank Kanungo went to investigate, the madrassa refused to provide details of the backgrounds of the children. The NCPCR team complained to the state. In response, the Congress govt filed a trespass case against Kanungo and sent an arrest warrant for the team, forcing them to back off. The Congress party in Karnataka is Ghazwa-e-Hind proxy.
