SpaceX's Falcon 9 has successfully deployed the 🇮🇳 GSAT-N2 or GSAT-20 satellite into Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit. ISRO’s Master Control Facility (MCF) has taken control of the satellite. Preliminary data indicates satellite in good health. The satellite weighs 4,700kgs and will provide communication services across India for 14 years.

Indian Astronaut-Designates Nair, Shukla Selected To Go US; Shukla Picked To Fly To ISS, Nair Is Back-Up More than a year after PM Narendra Modi, during his official state visit to the US said an Indian astronaut will travel to the International Space Station (ISS) as part of a US mission, Isro has signed a space flight agreement (SFA) with Axiom Space to send Group Cap Prashanth Nair and Group Capt Shubhanshu Shukla on the mission.

The CBI has revealed that the 1994 ISRO spy case against former scientist Nambi Narayanan was fabricated by Kerala police officer S Vijayan. Vijayan had detained Maldivian woman Mariyam Rasheeda after she rejected his advances and, discovering her connection to ISRO scientist D Shasikumaran, began surveilling her and her friend Fauzia Hasan. Rasheeda was arrested under the Foreigners Act for overstaying her visa, and as her custody was about to expire, Vijayan filed a false report leading to the arrest of four ISRO scientists, including Narayanan. The CBI has recommended prosecuting several former police officials, including RB Sreekumar, Siby Mathews, S Vijayan, KK Joshua, and PS Jayaprakash, for their involvement in the conspiracy.

In a major achievement, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) successfully tested a liquid rocket engine made with the help of additive manufacturing technology, commonly known as 3D printing. The new engine, now a single piece, saves 97% of raw materials and reduces production time by 60%, #ISRO said.
