Family Seeks Help in Locating Vikram Pangeni

In a distressing turn of events, a young Nepali man, Bikram Pangeni, who was en route to Saudi Arabia, has gone missing from Tribhuvan International Airport. The family is making an urgent appeal for assistance in locating him.

Bikram, a 23-year-old resident of Kaipani in Ward No. 1 of the former Sisneri Rural Municipality, Palpa, left for Saudi Arabia after returning home from an 18-month stint of employment in the Gulf nation. His departure from home to Kathmandu on Mangsir 3 was intended to be the next step in his journey.

However, Bikram's family is now facing an agonizing situation as he has become uncontactable since his departure. His father, Jagannath Pangeni, revealed that Bikram left for Kathmandu on the same day, Mangalwar. The family is deeply concerned about Vikram's well-being and is seeking help from the public to aid in the search.

Bikram's recent travels include a return for a 45-day holiday after 18 months of overseas stay.He was to be boarded a flight to Riyadh on December 22, 2023 (Poush 6 as per the Nepali calendar) through Fly Dubai. According to Bikram's brother, Sagar, he went through security at Tribhuvan International Airport on Friday evening. However, Sagar expressed deep concern as Vikram has been unresponsive since then.

The family filed a missing person report at the Butwal Area Police Office on Monday, urging local authorities to assist in the search. Further complicating the situation, Bikram's whereabouts are unknown after the Fly Dubai flight landed, raising worries among family members.

Bikram's grandfather, Thulo Buba Thakur Pangeni, stated that footage from the airport's CCTV revealed Bikram leaving the airport premises after 11:00 PM. Despite initially being seen engaging in conversation with someone, Bikram's destination remains a mystery.

The family has been actively coordinating with authorities in Kathmandu since Tuesday, seeking assistance in locating Bikram. As they intensify their efforts, the family appeals to the public for support.
