Jefferies sees room for 75 bps rate cut by RBI in 2025 as dollar weakens
Posted
Jefferies suggests the weakening US dollar allows the RBI to cut interest rates by up to 75 bps by the end of 2025, mirroring trends in other emerging markets. India's deflationary trend, with CPI inflation averaging 4.6% last year and falling to 3.2% in April, signals further monetary easing. The RBI estimates average inflation for FY26 will be around 4%.
