Swami Satchidananda Saraswati attended the regular satsang of Nepal Arya Samaj in Kathmandu on Baisakh 30. As the chief guest, he gave a brief discourse during the Vedic satsang presided over by Dr. Madhav Prasad Upadhyay, the Central President of Nepal Arya Samaj. Kanhaiya Lal Arya, the patron of Sarvadeshi Arya Pratishan Sabha of Haryana province in India, also spoke about the contributions of Arya Samaj in Vedas.
In addition, Professor Dr. Vishal Sitaula of Oslo University, Norway, discussed the scientific importance of Vedas in Vedic religion. The event also celebrated the 25th wedding anniversary of Ashok Shah, the treasurer of Nepal Arya Samaj.
Swami Satchidananda Saraswati's delegation visited the Pashupatinath temple in Basantpur Darwar area on Baisakh 29 and completed an observation tour of the Buddhist shrine of Budhanilkanth on Baisakh 30. After his three-day visit to Kathmandu, he left for the historic city of Janakpur that evening.
During his visit, Swami Satchidananda Saraswati also met with Prem Laskari, the founder president of Nepal Bharat Metri Samaj, Solti Mode, to discuss cultural and religious relations between Nepal and India.
